MereSimplicity Intelligence
Understanding your business.
Engineering better decisions.
Connect your data to the way your business works. Understand what drives performance, see where improvement begins and make decisions grounded in evidence.
Explore IntelligenceTake controlWe connect business information with systems thinking, analytics and AI to help organisations understand how they work, investigate what is changing and make better decisions, from everyday operations to long-term improvement.
Understanding the business
The system
comes first.
Every business operates as an interconnected system of people, processes, resources, technology, information and decisions.
How we understand the system
These components do not function independently. They influence one another through relationships, dependencies, information flows, feedback loops and constraints that ultimately shape how the organisation performs.
MereSimplicity Intelligence begins by understanding that system.
We study how an organisation operates, how value is created, how work moves between functions, how decisions are made and how different parts of the business influence one another. This understanding forms a structured model of the business, connecting its operational activities, relationships, objectives and information.

Connecting understanding with evidence
Several disciplines.
One business system.
Using data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and systems modelling, we connect that understanding to the information the business already creates.
See how the disciplines connect
Rather than examining sales, customers, operations, resources or financial performance as isolated datasets, we investigate how these elements interact, identifying patterns, dependencies, operational constraints, unusual changes and opportunities for improvement.
Systems Thinking & Business Modelling
Understanding the structure, components, relationships, processes, flows and feedback mechanisms that shape business behaviour.
Data Engineering & Governance
Connecting, organising, validating and managing business information to establish reliable foundations for analysis.
Business Intelligence & Analytics
Examining performance, trends, operations and customer behaviour to understand what is happening and what contributes to it.
Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence
Applying statistical methods, machine learning and AI to investigate complex questions and discover useful patterns.
Forecasting & Systems Modelling
Examining historical behaviour, modelling constraints and exploring how different conditions or interventions could influence future outcomes.
Decision Intelligence
Translating evidence into potential improvements, evaluating alternatives and helping organisations identify meaningful actions.
The objective is to connect information with the underlying business system so that findings have operational meaning.

An illustrative manufacturing question
More hours.
Less output.
Why?
A manufacturing company reports that production output is falling despite increasing labour hours.
A dashboard might show the decline in output per labour hour. MereSimplicity Intelligence investigates the production system that could explain it.

Explore the investigation
- How do materials move between workstations?
- Where does work accumulate?
- Are equipment failures causing upstream or downstream delays?
- Has the product mix changed?
- Are staffing patterns creating constraints?
- Is rework consuming capacity?
- Which intervention could relieve the constraint without moving the problem elsewhere?
It then connects available operational evidence to these questions, runs appropriate process and statistical analyses, tests the strongest explanations and helps assess possible interventions.
The distinction is that Intelligence investigates the system producing the result. Its conclusions must still be supported by evidence; a relationship in the model does not automatically establish causation.
Three questions that guide the work
What Intelligence
needs to answer.
How does the business work?
Understand its structure, components, processes, relationships and information flows.
Why is the business behaving this way?
Investigate performance, patterns, constraints, feedback and the evidence behind observed outcomes.
Where and how should we intervene?
Identify potential leverage points, evaluate options, improve processes and measure results.
From understanding to improvement
Make improvement
deliberate.
By examining where delays occur, where resources become constrained, how customer behaviour changes, how decisions influence downstream activities and where feedback reinforces particular outcomes, MereSimplicity Intelligence helps organisations identify potential leverage points for improvement.
From an insight to a measured change
These findings inform practical decisions, process changes, operational adjustments and strategic interventions.
Where improvements require changes to software, workflows or digital infrastructure, MereSimplicity Build provides the engineering capabilities to implement them.
The results are then measured against the intended outcome, creating a continuous cycle of understanding, intervention, evaluation and learning.
The technical ambition
A living model
of the business.
The long-term ambition is to develop a living computational model of the business.
MereSimplicity Core is a developing business-understanding and evidence-planning engine. It is intended to turn business questions into structured investigations, identify relevant records and assess missing measures and analytical readiness.
That is the intended architecture of MereSimplicity Intelligence, Core is not publicly available, and the planned analytical capabilities are not a claim of production availability.
The underlying philosophy
To improve a system intelligently,
first understand it.
MereSimplicity Intelligence exists to make complex business systems more understandable, their behaviour more measurable and their improvement more deliberate.
